The Nebraska native headed out to California after completing his MA in Journalism from Louisiana State University. He enjoyed a successful career as a marketing executive in the high tech market prior to focusing his full efforts on the entertainment industry. In 2006, he was picked as one of the original improv members for the highly successful urban comedy show, Trippin' on Tuesdays at The Comedy Store in Hollywood and made his television debut with the legendary Dick Van Dyke in Hallmark's Murder 101. Kirk's major motion picture debut was White Lightnin' as redneck killer Long, which was helmed by British director Dominic Murphy and lensed by Tim Maurice-Jones (Snatch and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels) which premiered in Sundance 2009. Since then, he has added numerous film and television credits, including recent feature releases Contraband with Mark Wahlberg, Texas Killing Fields with Jessica Chastain, Chloe Moretz and Sam Worthington, Bending the Rules as the mob hit man with Jamie Kennedy and Jennifer Esposito and Bobcat Goldthwaite's dark comedy God Bless America with Joel Murray. Small screen credits include, American Horror Story: Asylum, "Crazy Bob" on Southland, Grey's Anatomy, Criminal Minds, CSI, Leverage, Sons of Anarchy and Ghost Whisperer. He's also playing wild man, Dick in Dead Rising 3 which was launched exclusively on XBox One in November 2013.
