Bryerly Long

After training in ballet and contemporary dance, and graduating with highest honors from Oxford University, Bryerly Long began her acting career in Japan with the Seinendan Theatre Company. Her first film role was in "Hospitalite" by Fukada Koji, which won awards at the Tokyo International Film Festival and Bucheon Fantastic Film Festival. She went on to star in "Sayonara" by Fukada Koji, based on the play by the same name, in which she acted opposite a real android robot. "Sayonara" premiered at the Tokyo International Film Festival and IFF Rotterdam, and was released in cinemas in Japan and France to critical acclaim. Ms. Long is the first foreign actress to have appeared on stage in Japan both in contemporary theatre and in Yoshimoto's "Shinkigeki", a typical form of Japanese sketch comedy.
