Born in Glasgow, Kirsty Mitchell is a prominent Scottish actress with a rich body of work across film, television and theatre. She trained at the prestigious Central School of Ballet in London before being crowned the coveted title of "Miss Scotland" at the age of seventeen. Kirsty Mitchell's initial break-through performance came as Robert Duvall's daughter in the film A Shot at Glory (2000). On television, Kirsty Mitchell garnered strong reviews for her portrayal of iconic warrior "Queen Boudica" in the limited series Barbarians Rising (2016) for The History Channel. She also starred opposite Jason Isaacs in the critically acclaimed PBS Masterpiece Theatre mini-series Case Histories (2011), based on the popular Kate Atkinson novels. Other memorable television performances include: the BBC crime series New Blood (2016), the American mini-series Attila (2001) as the seductive "Princess Honoria" opposite fellow Scot Gerard Butler, as IRA courier "Muire Boland" in the CBS TV movie The Pilot's Wife (2002), and as therapist "Dr Anita Forbes" in the BBC series Holby City (1999).
