Leann is an actress, a producer, a director, a classically trained opera singer, and a CA certified music and Mandarin teacher. She graduated from XingHai Music University China where she has received classical music training including singing opera, playing piano and accordion etc. Leann lived in China, Austria, and the American South teaching vocal performance, music and Mandarin before moving to Los Angeles. She speaks Mandarin, English, Cantonese, and also can speak conversational German. Leann Lei made her TV debut, guest starring on the FOX series "Bones" as Tammy Hyun. She then co-starred on ABC's "Castle" and TNT's 'The Last Ship". She has collaborated with many filmmakers on dynamic roles in numerous independent films, including "To The Bone", directed by writer/director Marti Noxon, staring Lily Collins and Keanu Reeves (available on NetFlix); a Lionsgate picture "Blue Mountain State: The Rise of Thadland", directed by Lev L. Spiro, starring Alan Ritchson (available on NetFlix); Short film "JieJie", directed by Feng-I Fiona Roan (available on HBO)... Leann is the owner of her production company, XLL Entertainment. She has produced an independent feature film: "Buddy Solitaire",distributed by Gravitas Venture; a family dramedy feature film: "Best Mom", being distributed by Freestyles ; a web television series "Before I Got Famous" distributed by Revry; And many short films.
