Ricky Singh was born in East London in 1983 to a father who was a taxi driver and a mother who was a factory worker. From a very young age Ricky always had an instinct for Acting, he always wanted to perform whether it be for friends or a school play. Ricky found movies fascinating, he grew up watching as many movies as possible admiring his favourite actors. As it wasn't feasible for him to attend acting school/classes, he learned everything he possibly could from his favourite Actors/Actresses by watching them on TV to going to watch them in theatre. Being a child of strict cultural Indian parents who detest the idea of following a dream into Acting instead of pursuing an academic career, Ricky was made to alter the direction of his career path. For years this made Ricky unhappy until early 2014 where Ricky become redundant from the bank he worked at. After being out of work for a couple months Ricky finally started thinking about where his passion laid in life and what would make him happy and every time he came up with the same answer. It was then he decided it was time to make his childhood dream a reality, it was time to give his all to what his heart always wanted. After taking acting classes and doing constant research for nearly a year, for twelve-fourteen hours a day it finally started paying off.
