Peter was born in a barn in Conway Ontario, pop. 55, on his family's dairy farm. He studied theatre and physical education at Queen's University in nearby Kingston, and won the Rookie of the Year award for athletics in his first year. After Queen's, he studied at the George Brown Theatre School in Toronto. Since graduating, along with his many and varied film and TV roles, Peter has performed in lead and supporting roles in plays and musicals across Canada, at theaters such as The Tarragon, Theatre Passe Muraille, The Arts Club, Gateway Theatre etc. He moved to Vancouver, BC in 1990, after a solo cycling trip from London England to Egypt. He competed in the Vancouver International Triathlon and the Oceanman Race, and still enjoys ice hockey, skiing and many other sports, despite a life-changing car accident in 1994. Peter also performs as a musician, circus artist (Pan Am Games 2015, 2010 Olympics, Cirque du Soleil) and children's entertainer in Ontario and British Columbia. He has recorded a number of CDs, including 2017's Feel Everything, and his first solo effort, Going Somewhere Slow, which provided the soundtrack for his award-winning play, Going Somewhere Slow (2002), and the short film based on that play. Peter's song I Don't Wanna Do What I Don't Wanna Do was featured in the 2017 indie feature film Idle Thoughts. Peter also has a supporting role in the film.
