Giorgio Serafini worked with actors such as Roy Scheider, William Shatner, Christopher Lloyd, Wesley Snipes, Dolph Lundgren, Vinnie Jones, Jean Smart, Esai Morales. He has directed and/or written for companies such as CBS, Sony, Voltage Pictures, Lionsgate. He was born in Brussels, Belgium from Italian parents and lives in Los Angeles with his wife LaDon Drummond. Giorgio studied screenwriting with Frank Daniel (Sundance Institute) and Political Science and International Relations at the Université Libre de Belgique. During those years he directed his first semi-professional short, "The Nickelodeon Type". Giorgio has always considered The Museum of Cinema of Brussels to have been his real teacher. In December, 1991, Giorgio moved from Brussels to Rome to start production on "Blu Notte", his first feature film. While Giorgio was editing the movie, his first wife delivered Laura Bodi Tess, their only daughter. During the two years spent in Rome, Giorgio also wrote the screenplay for "Supplì", directed by Vincenzo Verdecchi and presented at the Settimana della Critica of the Venice Film Festival in 1992. In 1994, producer, Massimo Civilotti, sent Giorgio to Los Angeles to close a co-production deal for "Loveblind", a comedy Giorgio wrote and was supposed to direct. That's when he decided to move to the US. At first he survived with small jobs writing and directing, including a promo film for Attorney General, Alexander Haigh. One of those jobs for hire was directing the feature movie "The Garbage Man" starring Frank Stallone. In summer 2000, he directed "Texas 46", a feature about Italian POWs in Texas with Roy Scheider as the lead. When Italian TV-mogul, Guido De Angelis saw a screening of "Texas 46" he asked Giorgio to direct a project for Italian production company Titanus. That's how Giorgio became involved with directing the three seasons of "Orgoglio", one of the most successful Italian TV series of all times. On July 11, 2005 his much beloved daughter Laura passed in a tragic accident. She was only 13. Giorgio directed several TV series in Europe from 2003 to 2009, then decided to go back to the States. Since then he has wrote and/or directed 14 feature films, including the documentary about the deported "Without Borders/Sin Fronteras". Giorgio is now an American citizen. He lives with his wife actress/writer LaDon Drummond and their son Johnny Sinclair, also an actor.
