After training with the National Youth Theatre, Tanya was cast as the lead in two films, written by Artistic Director John Hoggarth, produced in conjunction with BBC and staring names such as Cathy Tyson, Linda Bellingham, Jimmy Akingbola and Joel Dommett. After working in the industry a number of years on many award winning shows, Tanya went to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art to do her theatre training. There she learnt the classics, kabuki, commedia dell'arte, Artaud, Brecht, Meisner, Stanislavski and many other methods of acting. It was on BBC comedies such as Ideal with Johnny Vegas, We are Klang with Greg Davies and children's cult comedy Kerching! working with actors such as Gary Beadle, Kayvan Novak and Danny John Jules where Tanya found her flare for comedy.
