Todd Voltz was born in Rapid City, SD. His family moved back to New Orleans, La. as soon as his dad finished his tour in Vietnam. Todd started making films and jumping in front of the camera as soon as he could. At the age of 9 he got his hands on a brand spanking new Beta Max camera. He convinced his sister and cousins to make their own movie awards show with ridiculous categories and the same 3 films winning everything. From his first time in front of the camera, Todd Voltz was electric. Charisma steamed off of him like summer rain on the streets of New Orleans. In his first year of college Todd goes with a friend to a theatrical play audition. He's only there to support his friend but ends up cast as the villain and wins a full scholarship to USL for theater. Can't keep a city boy in the swamp too long though. Todd transfers to Loyola of New Orleans and finishes out with bachelors in Theater and Writing. While in school he appears in several student films and acts as a liaison between the actors of Loyola and the filmmakers at UNO. Out in the real world Todd auditions for anything that comes through New Orleans in the 1990's but that's not much. He starts working as a PA and then a Set Dresser on commercials and music videos. All the while he is producing and acting in no budget films with friends and enemies. The tax incentive boosts film production in Louisiana and Todd is out there catching some of the first waves. A sweet role in the movie Waiting gives Todd his first close up on the national big screen. He follows this up with comedic parts in Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay and College. He snatches up some TV gigs on the Riches, Treme and Memphis Beat. Next up on the radar is the internet. Todd jumps right in by producing the web series Amped! which features contemporary rock gods, Supagroup. Next he hooks up with long time collaborator, Billy Louviere to produce and star in The Whiskey Talking. This role brings Todd his first Best Actor award from the Genre Blast Film Festival. On the set of The Whiskey Talking Todd and David White found a connection through humor. Todd was funny and David laughed at him. It was the best kind of relationship. David also happens to be very funny and talented. Todd and David along with another long time collaborator - the multi talented, Eric Laws - endeavored to make a documentary about the amazing 27 hour continuous music festival known as Bach Around the Clock. The documentary - The Heart is an Organ - is playing the festival circuit. Todd lives on the muddy outskirts of New Orleans with his wife, daughter, dog and cats. He keeps busy making music, acting and writing scripts. - IMDb Mini Biography By: Bubby Fuzz
