Brenda Strong may be best known for her seminal acting and voice portrayal of "Mary Alice Young" on Desperate Housewives (2004), but this two-time Emmy-nominated and SAG Award-winning actress has had a long and endearing film and television career. Graduating with a degree in Musical Theatre from Arizona State University, she made her career debut with Mel Brooks' Spaceballs (1987) and Aaron Sorkin's Malice (1993). Television audiences have come to know her in such diverse roles as "Sue Ellen Mishke" (aka "The Braless Wonder) on Seinfeld (1989), "Kathleen Isley" in Party of Five (1994), "Sally Sasser" in Sports Night (1998), and three seasons as "Ann Ewing" in Dallas (2012), the reboot of Dallas (1978), for TNT. Her more recent roles include "Ilene Stowe" in Season 2 of Fear the Walking Dead (2015) (2016/17) and as "Lillian Luthor" on CW's Supergirl (2015) (2016/17). Her iconic voice is going into it's 6th Season as the narrator of Discovery ID Channel's Blood Relatives (2012). In the world of Theatre, she serves on the board of The Montana Shakespeare Company and played "Tamara", opposite Jack Stehlin, in Not Man Apart Physical Theatre Ensemble's/New American Theatre's co-production of "Titus Redux" at CTG's Kirk Douglas Theatre. Most recently on stage in Los Angeles, she played a fantasy role in Nick Jones' Ovation-nominated play, "Trevor", at Circle X Theatre, with Laurie Metcalf and Jimmi Simpson, and voiced roles in John Farmanesh-Bocca's Ovation-nominated play, "Tempest Redux", at The Odyssey Theatre. A bit of trivia: She sang with the Millennium Choir at the Vatican in 2000 and toured with composer Beppe Cantarelli as one of his premiere soloists, singing in Latin and Italian throughout Italy. In addition to her Stage and Screen career, Brenda has produced and starred in a series of Yoga Therapy Videos targeted toward women and couples trying to conceive. She was the Key Note Speaker at EMD Serano's Annual Event as well as the American Heart Association, and a performer for Events of the Heart 501(c)3 at Maria Shriver's Women's Conference. She is a highly-respected speaker for organizations concerning health and well-being and recently was asked to present at TEDxWomen in Beverly Hills as one of the featured speakers on stress and women's health. She has been featured in Alternative Medicine Magazine, Origin, Conceive, Shape Fit Pregnancy and many other blogs and articles online. She was also awarded an Honorary Doctorate from Yo San University for her pioneering work in fertility and women's wellness.
