Richard Young is an Actor and Writer who has appeared on "Taken", "The Strain", "Incorporated", "American Gothic", "Kim's Convenience", "Rookie Blue" and "Saving Hope", as well as the feature film "The History of Love". He also starred in the Shaftesbury-Smokebomb digital series "MsLabelled" alongside Tori Anderson, and he co-created/starred in the OMNI TV Kung Fu digital series "Sudden Master" (funded by Bell Media). He also created/starred in two seasons of the digital series "Off2Kali Comedy", which featured actors such as Colin Mochrie (Who's Line Is It Anyway?), Huse Madhavji (Saving Hope) and Katie Boland (Reign). He also starred in the short films "Virtual Hitman" (for which he won a Best Supporting Actor award in the Asians On Film Festival), "Captive Love" and "Interview". In theatre, he has been in the casts of both The Second City's Educational and Family Companies. Born just outside Toronto Canada, Young took a circuitous route to the arts, completing a BSc. in Psychology (Queen's University) and an MBA (Schulich/York University) before pursuing his passion full-time. He is an alumnus of both the Writers Guild of Canada Bell Media Diverse Screenwriters Program, the Humber College Acting for Film & Television Program and the Factory Theatre Mechanicals Program.
