Ashley T.R.U. Ward is an American actress, host, spokeswoman, model and musician. Born and raised in Portsmouth, Virginia, "T.R.U." began writing music and poetry at the age of ten and started performing as a solo music artist at the age of twelve. She has graced the stage with artists such as Ashanti, Fat Joe, Mario, Monica, Aaron Carter, The Stylistics, The Fatback Band, and even Ray Goodman & Brown. With her natural ability to control the crowd, Ashley received her first hosting contract with Radio Disney AM 1650. With Radio Disney, Ashley had the opportunity to MC concerts for headlining Disney artists such as: Hannah Montana, Jonas Brothers, Cheetah Girls, and Raven Simone . Ashley T.R.U. Ward began her acting career at the age of 15 years old. She cultivated her on camera skills with several local talent agencies, private coaches and a local acting school, The Actor's Place. Locally, she became known as "the girl from the commercial." With hopes to expand the scope of her career, Ashley ventured into the voice-over industry and has voiced commercials for several national brands. On screen, she's worked with acting legends Tim Reid, Daphne Reid and most recently the one and only, Lorreta Devine. She can be seen in Apple TV's Swagger as Melony and Jennifer in Hallmark's Christmas in Harmony. As her career continues to blossom, Ashley credits her success to her faith in God and her amazing family support system. She hopes in the future to provide entertainment industry resources to aspiring artists in the Hampton Roads area.
