Carri Toivanen is a TV, film, theatre and voice actor with a love of both comedy and drama. She has worked on several indie projects and TV shows including Hallmark's "Color My World With Love," NBC's "The InBetween," The CW's "Supernatural" and Fox's "Fringe." She has also voiced numerous commercials, corporate and educational videos, video games and an audio book, and recently began performing on the motion capture stage. She performed her first lead role in a play in 2019 playing Tessa Kendrick in Chimerica with United Players of Vancouver, for which she learned a British RP accent. Carri has trained in Vancouver and New York City, including graduating from Capilano University with an acting diploma and the summer conservatory program at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts - New York. She spent her childhood mostly in northern Alberta before making her way to the west coast. She is of Slovak, Finnish, Norwegian and Swedish descent. Although her working acting journey started later in life, she started to find her way to a love of stories early in life with dance, singing and theatre classes and in some of her very first jobs, including at a movie theatre concession, a video store, backstage at a dinner theatre (where she was dresser to legendary guest stars such as Loretta Swit and Alan Young), and a career in writing.
