Chandra Cogburn

Chandra was born and raised near Seattle, Washington, and began her musical studies at the age of six, playing piano in her family's living room to the kitchen timer. After three intense years of studying the classical world of composing and the technical aspects of film scoring, Chandra graduated in Summer of 2005 from Berklee College of Music with a professional diploma in Film Scoring and a second diploma in Composition. She immediately moved to Los Angeles, California, to pursue her professional career. Chandra's first year in Los Angeles was filled with many wonderful opportunities. She was first awarded the coveted Society of Composers and Lyricist's Mentoree Program, where she met many industry professionals and interned for Alf Clausen on The Simpsons for several months. Chandra began meeting established composers and assisting them with their work, including Christopher Young (Ghostrider, Lucky You), Harry Gregson-Williams (Flushed Away, Shrek 3, Déjà Vu) and currently is working for Steve Jablonsky (Desperate Housewives, Transformers).
