Arnold Chun is an American actor, director, and writer. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts, to Korean parents, and graduated from the Humanities Magnet Program at Grover Cleveland High School. Chun holds a B.A. in East Asian/European History from UC Irvine. Arnold's career has challenged the views of Asian Americans in TV/Film. Playing "James Toriyama" a Japanese American Interment camp victim on "Hawaii 5-0", A U.S. Military Soldier on "Transformers 2", a Texan Love interest on "It's always Sunny in Philadelphia", to a cab driver on "The Big Bang Theory". Arnold's most recent work on the Emmy Winning Amazon Series "The Man in The High Castle", is no exception. As "Kotomichi", a Japanese Government Envoy, his character displays a range of humanity throughout the series. Arnold is also a filmmaker. Winning the award for Best Short Film at the Harlem Int. Film Fest in 2008 for "Eli's Liquor Store", the short film has continued on to 25 different film festivals and was the opening presenter at the Smithsonian National Martin Luther King Consortium during Black History Month. He also was awarded an Excellence in Film Making at the Honolulu Int. Film Fest in 2009, for his first feature film. Being a Los Angeles native, Arnold works with the homeless community, working to expand a senior center in Koreatown for the mentally ill. His first opportunity assisting the international community was in India (1995) for a month as a short term missionary.
