Originally from Mississippi, Sam Malone never imagined New Orleans would become his home. Now nestled in the Big Easy, he is proud to be a part of the theatre, television, and film culture of the city, as well as the membership in the greater artist community of the Cresent City. Having received his undergraduate degree from the Louisiana State University in Theatre with a concentration in performance, as well as being given the opportunity to work under the tutelage of the late, great John Dennis, a former director at the Taper theatre in Los Angeles, Sam Malone was well equipped when he entered the New Orleans acting scene in 2010, earning roles in such timeless pieces as HBO's Treme and True Detective, while continuing performing onstage such works as August Wilson's Jitney and William Shakespeare's Titus Andronicus. After performing professionally for some time, Sam Malone decided to pursue a master's degree, and ultimately enrolled at the University of New Orleans, at which he performed Hamlet as the Prince of Denmark for his thesis.
