Catherine Haun was born in Los Angeles to James and Diane Haun, the middle of six children. Catherine grew up in Los Angeles, on Catalina Island and in other places in the southwest. She attended Pacific Palisades High School, Carnegie-Mellon University (Drama), and The Hunter College School of Social Work in New York City.
